Just Curves exists because plus-size women deserve a dating space that isn't hostile. That only works if we actually enforce it. Here's how, and how to get help.
Report anyone who makes this space worse
Every profile and conversation has a report option. We have a dedicated report category for fatphobia, because on other apps it gets filed under 'other' and ignored. A real person on our safety team reviews every single report, and members who accumulate reports are escalated automatically.
Blocking is immediate and total
When you block someone, any match between you is torn down instantly. They vanish from your Discover feed, they can't message you, they can't see your profile, and they aren't told that you blocked them. You can manage your block list any time in Settings.
Fetishising is a removable offence
There's a difference between being attracted to plus-size people and treating them as a category rather than a person. Unsolicited comments about someone's body, 'brave for posting this' condescension, and fetish-first messaging all get accounts removed. Report it — we act on it.
Messages only open when it's mutual
Nobody can message you unless you've both liked each other. There is no way to send an unsolicited message on Just Curves, and unmatching immediately ends the conversation.
Meeting in person
Video chat before you meet if you can. Meet somewhere public the first time. Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back. Arrange your own transport so you can leave whenever you want. Trust your gut — you never owe anyone an explanation for leaving.
Protecting your information
Keep conversations on the app until you genuinely trust someone. Never send money, gift cards, or crypto to someone you haven't met — this is the most common scam on every dating platform. Be careful about photos that reveal your workplace, your street, or your kids.
